The song Patio Lanterns from Kim Mitchell never fails to bring back happy memories of my youth in Canada, especially living on my beloved Prince Edward Island. “The Rock” is where I spent a large chunk of my formative years, started my radio career, and graduated high school. Besides being a beautifully crafted song musically, Kim lyrically captures the innocence and Romantic nerves of youth perfectly.

I spent many a night under those Patio Lanterns - starting with lemonade, and then eventually moving on to Labatt's products. And through the years, Kim has provided the soundtrack to more than I could ever count.
