There is a mental health crisis, and we're not sitting on the sidelines.
We are here to start conversations, amplify voices and push for real change
Speak Up & Step Up
When we speak up, step up and share the power of music, we create a future where mental health is a conversation everyone feels a part of.
At The Awesome Music Project, we believe in the power of music to heal, connect, and inspire—and our Stories, Songs & Science concerts bring that belief to life. These events are a key part of our Speak Up & Step Up strategy, helping us raise awareness and money through a blend of powerful storytelling, live music, and fascinating insights into the science behind music’s impact on our brains, health, and well-being. People from all walks of life share personal stories about how a particular song has shaped their journey, followed by incredible live performances of those songs by talented musicians. Some stories come straight from our book, Songs of Hope and Happiness, while others emerge from community-driven events, where local voices and songs take center stage.
This unique format has touched the hearts of thousands of people, sparking conversations about mental health and the role music plays in our lives. Beyond the emotional impact, these concerts have also helped raise over $400,000, directly supporting music therapy and programs that bring the healing power of music to more communities.

Build a Movement
By engaging, training and supporting AMP Mental Health Ambassadors who can share stories and drive change.
SHAPE THE FUTURE
By working with policymakers to make music part of social prescribing so doctors and therapists can formally recommend it as a tool for better health.
