The Awesome Music Hour is a youth-centred program that offers a series of workshops aimed at nurturing self-expression, boosting confidence, fostering resilience, and creating a stronger sense of community through the art of making or engaging with music.

This is achieved through mentorship, peer-to-peer discussions, and educational activities, all rooted in the transformative power of music and covers the following:

• Storytelling and exploring the healing and expressive role music plays in our lives.

• Music as a communication tool.

• Grounding yourself in rhythm.

• Creativity for all using music as a creative channel for appreciation and inspiration.

• Lyrics as poetry and storytelling, songwriting and its relation to personal experiences.

• Music as therapy and its application for physical and mental health.

• Wrapping up with reflections on how music can positively impact health, wellness and mental wellbeing.
